The special restrictive measures that were taken for Mykonos on 17/7 due to the epidemiological situation will cease to apply from today, Monday, with the eyes of the experts being focused on other islands as well.

Specifically, the special restrictive measures that were in force until today, at 6 in the morning, were the following:

  • Traffic ban from 01.00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning, with the exception of work and serious health reasons.
  • Ban on music around the clock.

At the same time, an increase in cases is observed in other popular tourist destinations.

These are Zakynthos, Rhodes, Corfu, Serifos, Antiparos, Kos, Sifnos, Leros and Milos.

And although the government wants to avoid further mini-lockdowns in the summer, similar decisions may be made if the picture worsens.

However, from today, sweeping inspections will be carried out in all companies to comply with the measures and health protocols, both in Mykonos and in the areas where there is an increase in the epidemiological burden, as previously announced by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias.
