Thessaloniki: 13,5 years in prison for the 49-year-old who robbed a bank with a Kalashnikov

He was sentenced to 13,5 years in prison 49year, who is said to be a member of the terrorist organization "Revolutionary Self-Defense" and was arrested last August after armed robbery committed at a branch bank, in the area of ​​Pefki, Thessaloniki, near the "G. Papanikolaou" hospital. The 49-year-old sat on the bench of the Single-Member Criminal Court of Thessaloniki that found him guilty of robbery (using a Kalashnikov) and booty 8.275 euros.

After his conviction, he returned to prison. He had been arrested by Counter-Terrorism Police officers who had information that he was in Thessaloniki, Greece. An arrest warrant was pending against him, when two other members of the specific organization had been arrested, after the location of Giafka in Holargos, Attica.

The 49-year-old had then managed to escape, although injured, as he allegedly participated in another armed robbery, in October 2019, at a gaming store in Cholargo, where, in fact, he had accidentally injured himself in the leg with a Kalashnikov.
