Mary Chronopoulou has "gone" at the age of 90, spreading sadness to the public and the artistic world.
He was born and raised in Athens. He graduated from the school of the National Theater, where he appeared in dance groups, in ancient dramas. In 1957 he began collaborating with the independent theater, performing at the Acropolis in the works of Alek Sakellariou-Christos Giannakopoulos "The Lady" and "Romance of a Maid".
She first appeared in cinema as an extra in Dinos Dimopoulos' Happy Beginning, produced by Finos Film in 1954, when she was still a student. In 1958 he took a small role in Michalis Kakogianni's Last Lie, again at Finos Film. From 1963 onwards, she starred in a number of Finos Film drama films, and not only, in the roles of dame and femme fatale, alongside all the male protagonists of the time, such as Nikos Kourkoulos, Phaidon Georgitsis, Dimitris Papamichail, Giorgos Fountas and Alekos Alexandrakis .

Especially in A lady in the bouzoukis she captivated the audience with her irresistible style and temperament both acting and performing two of the legendary hits of Greek cinema songs, "I am a woman of revelry" and "Tou agorios opampos".
In the period 1967-68 she was the best actress of the cinema and won the award of the critics association.
In her theatrical career, she collaborated with all the major troupes of Athens and performed with the same interpretative ability in all types of theater. In 1972 she formed her own troupe with which she staged the plays: "What time will you return, Penelope" by Somerset Mom and "A hot girl" by Iakovos Campanelis.
