The "Breath at the Roots" event of the Paralimni Youth was successfully held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the courtyard of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Georgios, as part of the 2nd "Voices and Memories" festival of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia.
The event, which was held under the auspices of the Republic of Cyprus (European Presidency 2026), was a unique celebration of tradition and creation, bringing together young and old through experiential workshops, traditional activities, music, dance and cultural events that highlighted the Cypriot cultural heritage.
A special place in the program was occupied by the student competition "Paralimni: Then to Now", with the participation of students from Primary and Secondary Schools of the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia, while the awards ceremony was also held for the students who distinguished themselves.
Throughout the day, a traditional cafe with Cypriot delicacies and coffee on the embers was open, offering an authentic experience of hospitality and social interaction.
The event was part of the 2nd Traditional Culture Festival "Voices and Memories", which is organized by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia in collaboration with the "Agios Epiphanios" Cultural Academy from March 28 to April 25, 2026 and is under the auspices of the Deputy Ministry of Culture.
