Google has announced that it will now be possible to play videos attached to emails from Gmail on the desktop.
Previously, to view these videos one had to download the file and view it with a video player.
By integrating the video player service with streaming technology, the user will be able to click on the icon of the attached video file and view it without further action.
The feature is expected to facilitate video recipients from smartphones, as they will be able to see their content directly.

You can send attachments up to 25MB in size via Gmail (and receive up to 50MB). Alternatively, Google recommends using Google Drive to upload files regardless of size.
