Green Dot Cyprus gives answers written in the Municipality of Paralimni on the occasion of a recent comment of the newspaper "Phileleftheros". The company essentially goes on the counterattack, after what the municipality blames on it, which has already suspended its cooperation with each other and submits its own positions for recycling in Cyprus.

As it states in its announcement, organizations such as the one that manages collective waste systems, are obliged - under the Cypriot legislation - to be non-profit.

The company also states that not every non-profit organization can distribute profits to its shareholders, but does not disclose the amount of salaries and other benefits enjoyed by its executives.

Referring to the income she has from the recyclable materials she collects from the municipalities and the community councils, she states: “These are taken into account and deducted when determining the fees of the System to the industry. In other words, it is income that the consumer ultimately benefits from through lower fees on the prices of the products he buys. "This revenue covers only about 20% of the cost of the recycling program."

In addition, the company states that the local authorities know that "any fees they pay relate to the paper that is not packaging and not the packaging".
In the same announcement, the company also answers the question about its relationship with the large companies that market recyclable packaging: "Green Dot is the tool that by law and according to European practice represents the industries that place recyclable packaging in the Buy. These industries that sell the products pay a fee of 4 million euros per year to have the recycling program. The Municipality of Paralimni, as well as the other Local Authorities, is well aware of these clearly and properly ".
