The Regulatory Authority issued an announcement regarding EAC's request to CERA, for an increase in electricity tariffs for 2024 by 6% in the final bills, according to which it puts a "brake" on this request.
CERA held a meeting today, with the members of the Senior Management estimating that high energy prices have a negative impact on consumers, while as added in the announcement, "CERA's concern and duty is to protect electricity consumers against monopolistic prices".
Taking into account the above, CERA has decided to remain in force for the year 2024 the regulated tariffs of the year 2023.
