The Government is regulating the reduction of the minimum proportion of goat and sheep milk in PDO halloumi with a new decree.

Specifically, as published in the Official Gazette of the Republic, the minimum proportion of goat and sheep milk in PDO halloumi is set at 15% from next Friday until the end of the year, compared to 25% currently in force.

This is a decision following the measures to address the crisis caused by foot-and-mouth disease in the sector and based on data recorded by the Department of Agriculture.
