The lowest level of the last 33 months, which was recorded in March this year (1,6%), was touched in September 2024 by harmonized inflation, which increased by 1,6%, compared to September 2023.
According to the Statistical Service, compared to August 2024, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices in September 2024 decreased by 0,4%.
For the period January – September 2024, there was an increase of 2,3%, compared to the corresponding period last year.
Compared to September 2023, according to the Statistical Service, the categories Leisure and Culture (7,4%) and Restaurants and Hotels (5,7%) showed the largest positive change.
In relation to August 2024, the largest changes were recorded in the categories Clothing and Footwear (5,9%), Transport (-5,3%) and Education (2,6%).
Besides, for the period January - September 2024, compared to the corresponding period last year, according to the Statistical Service, the biggest change was observed in the category Restaurants and Hotels (5,6%).
In addition, the largest change in financial categories both in relation to September 2023 (-8,0%) and in relation to the previous month (-2,9%), was observed in the Energy category.
