For the first time, Larnaca-Paphos airports exceed 4 million passengers in 5 months

For the first time in history, traffic at Larnaca and Paphos airports exceeded 4 million passengers for the period January - May 2025, showing an increase of 12,02% compared to 2024, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works.

In May 2025 alone, Larnaca and Paphos airports welcomed 1.282.882 passengers, marking an increase of 12,47% compared to May 2024.

Passenger volume at Larnaca Airport increased by 19%, while at Paphos Airport it decreased slightly by 1,36% compared to 2024.

Moreover, according to the Ministry of Transport, with the main markets being Israel, the United Kingdom, Poland, Germany and Armenia, aircraft traffic increased by 10,25% compared to 2024 and amounted to 9.518 flights.

The largest increase in absolute numbers was recorded at Larnaca Airport on routes with Israel, Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Armenia, while in Paphos, increases were recorded on routes with the United Kingdom, Jordan, Poland, Hungary, and Germany.

On the other hand, the largest decreases were experienced in Larnaca by France, Jordan, Norway, Switzerland and Belgium, while in Paphos by Greece, Romania, France, Estonia and Israel.
