Moreover, in statements to CNA, the Director of the Hellenic Petroleum Service, Konstantinos Karagiorgis, assured that the Service monitors the market daily and called on consumers to utilize all available tools to identify the cheapest gas stations because "there are large price fluctuations between gas stations, reaching up to 20 cents," as he said.
Specifically, according to the data, the average price of Amolybdis 98 across Cyprus is €1,643. The lowest price at gas stations is €1,454 and the highest is €1,849, with the difference between the prices sold by gas stations reaching 39,5 cents.
In relation to unleaded 95, the average price nationwide is €1,587, with the lowest price being €1,527, the highest €1,665 and with the difference amounting to 13,8 cents.
Regarding diesel, the average price nationwide is €1,867, with the lowest price being €1,777 and the highest being €1,958, with the difference amounting to 18,1 cents.

"We understand the concerns of consumers and citizens. For the time being, no overbilling by companies has been detected," said the Director of the Public Utilities Commission.
He noted that the price increases are a result of the uncertainty that exists in the global economy and especially in the energy sector.
Mr. Karagiorgis emphasized that there are serious differences in prices between gas stations and called on consumers to utilize all available tools to identify the cheapest gas stations and make the most advantageous purchases because, as he explained, "there are large price fluctuations between gas stations, reaching up to 20 cents."
Stating that petroleum companies in Cyprus are constantly receiving new cargoes, the Director of the Cyprus Petroleum Corporation said that "despite the fact that refinery prices are much higher and to which various other costs (transportation, insurance premiums) are added, prices in Cyprus are showing a moderate increase compared to prices in other European countries."
For this reason, Cyprus is ranked among the European countries with the lowest prices, he concluded.
