Starting tomorrow, the measure of applying the zero rate of VAT to basic products will end, while from November 1st, the measure of the staggered electricity subsidy will finally be introduced.
Speaking on the program Apo Mera Se Mera, the government representative, Konstantinos Letympiotis, stated that the government is constantly evaluating measures to relieve Cypriot households, noting that in the 18 months of Nikos Christodoulidis' administration, a series of measures have been taken in this direction.
The government representative added that, even if today inflation in Cyprus has fallen below 2%, the Government is always evaluating any measures it can take.
He noted, however, that the measures taken are temporary and should be treated as such.
