An unprecedented increase in applications for the installation of photovoltaic systems, mainly within the framework of the government plan "Photovoltaics for All", has been recorded in recent weeks, reports the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, which notes that this strong response from citizens exceeds any previous period and is a clear indication of society's mature shift towards clean energy and self-production.
In its announcement on Friday, the EAC states that the increased participation has created a significantly increased workload in the services involved in the management and control of applications and emphasizes that in order to process them faster and enhance service, the EAC is proceeding with the purchase of temporary staff services, who will directly support the relevant procedures.
At the same time, it underlines that due to the very large number of incoming calls, delays are observed in telephone service, with the reinforcement of service teams, as well as with the internal improvements that are already underway, the response time is expected to improve gradually and substantially within the coming weeks.
The Organization is in close collaboration with the competent state authorities for the smooth implementation of energy plans and the support of all citizens who invest in green energy solutions.
"Our goal remains reliable, timely and transparent service to all applicants, with absolute respect for their time and needs," he concludes.
