POVEK suspends the mobilization outside the Presidential Palace after the decree of the Minister. Health

POVEK in a statement states that based on the decree of the Ministry of Health and with a sense of responsibility suspends the planned mobilization that had announced for today, 18/11/2020, outside the Presidential Palace, to claim and demand a solution to the problems faced by Mikro Businesses.

As it is mentioned, according to a new decree of the Minister of Health dated 17/11/2020 "mass events, gatherings, demonstrations… in public and private places are prohibited until November 30, 2020 at 23:59".

At the same time, the General Assembly of POVEK expresses indignation, dissatisfaction and shame for the images that appear daily outside the diagnostic centers with a large presence of hundreds of citizens to perform the test and the coordinated state is unable to control and implement decrees and protocols issued by itself. .

"The struggle of GS POVEK for rents, evictions, suspension of installments, sales, support of companies for rescue and survival of small and very small businesses will not stop with decrees", it is noted.

It is added that the state has the responsibility and obligation with the same determination, which issues unprecedented decrees with deprivation of basic freedoms and rights, at the same time to show the corresponding sensitivity and dynamism for solving the problems of business and the economy.

A delegation of the General Assembly of POVEK, the announcement continues, will submit a memorandum to the President of the Republic of Cyprus as planned. Finally, it is stated that "our struggle will continue by all legal means".
