The Ministry of Defense is interested in recruiting Hoplites under Contract to the National Guard, to fill the vacant or vacated positions from all the SY.OP positions. and invites persons possessing the required qualifications, as specified in the relevant notice, to apply for recruitment.
Applications are submitted only electronically through the Government Portal (www.gov.cy), in the thematic section "Military Recruitment" Conscription - Application for Recruitment of Contractual Soldiers (CY.OP.), from Monday, May 12, 2025 at 08:00 until Friday, June 27, 2025 at 15:00.

To complete the online application, the applicant must be a registered and authenticated user on the Government Portal. https://www.gov.cy/gr/Profile identification for citizens (Natural Persons) can be done in the following ways:
• Through electronic banking (eBanking)
• by personal on-site visit to Identification Centers, presenting the Identity Card, by appointment.
• Via video call with KEP officers, by appointment.
Upon completion of the application process, candidates will undergo an Athletic Test to determine their physical fitness and a Military Test to determine their combat capability. These Tests are expected to take place within the month of July 2025 and candidates will be invited via email and SMS.
