The first organized public beach in Mandria was recently opened to the public.

The project was implemented by the Tourism Development and Promotion Company of the Paphos Region in collaboration with the community and with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism.

According to an announcement by ETAP, the effort that began at the beginning of the year has a three-year completion horizon.

Based on the planning as well as the beach use plan, for this year the first phase of implementation includes, among other things, the renovation of the lifeguard tower, the installation of straw umbrellas, sunbeds and beach tables, the installation of light mobile environmentally friendly structures such as changing rooms, enclosures for biological toilets and showers , bins for collecting/sorting recyclable materials and information and direction signs to the beach.

The work of the first phase has been completed, while lifeguard services and basic furnishings are already provided on the beach.

As reported by ETAP of the Paphos region, the three-year plans include infrastructure for upgrading accessibility, strengthening the equipment of lifeguards, expanding the institution of "coastal quality" and applying for a blue flag award.
