The Cybercrime Sub-Directorate of Headquarters continues to receive complaints about fake messages sent via social networking sites and/or mobile phones.
The messages urge recipients to follow suspicious links to pay alleged traffic violations.
Do not open suspicious links and do not provide personal or banking information!
Their purpose is to deceive you and extort money or personal information!
What to do if you receive such messages:
DO NOT open suspicious links.
DO NOT give out personal or banking information
Be especially careful with SMS that lead you to unknown links!
