The members of POED will go on strike on Tuesday, November 26, 2025, from 07:30-09:00, while on Wednesday, November 19, when the article-by-article discussion of the legislation concerning the new evaluation system for teachers and educational work will take place in the Education Committee of the Parliament, there will be a mobilization outside the Parliament by the 100 General Representatives of POED.
In statements to CNA and to a question about the outcome of today's meeting of the Executive Board, the President of POED, Myria Vassiliou, responded that at today's meeting, the Executive Board of POED decided that on November 26, 2025, Wednesday, from 07:30-09:00, the members of the Organization will proceed with a work stoppage.
At the same time, said Ms. Vassiliou, while the article-by-article discussion of the legislation concerning the new system for evaluating teachers and educational work will take place in the Parliament's Education Committee, there will be a mobilization outside the Parliament by the 100 General Representatives of POED.
"It is understood that this specific decision is subject to developments. If the decision of the Education Committee of the Parliament on Wednesday is not to proceed with the article-by-article discussion, the decision will not be activated. In the event that the article-by-article discussion proceeds, the method of possible escalation of the measures will be decided at a next meeting of the Executive Board of the POED," he added.
Ms. Vassiliou also stated that an announcement regarding the decision of the Executive Board of the Hellenic Football Federation will follow within the day.
