The Cyprus Ambulance Rescue Crews Association (SYDIPAK) in a statement expresses disappointment over the failure to comply, as it states, with the Ministry of Health's commitments to create a registry of rescuers and the delay regarding a bill on the operation of ambulances that has been discussed for years.
Furthermore, the Association expresses concern about the possibility that some interests may be more important than the proper operation and organization of ambulances and states that, in collaboration with the unions, it reserves the right to take any measures deemed necessary.
"The authorities, and specifically the Ministry of Health, have failed to keep their commitments regarding the creation of the registry of rescuers and the registration of the profession, and after meetings with the Minister of Health and the Health Committee of the Parliament, we are once again in uncertainty regarding the future of our profession," the Association further states.
