The agreement made between the State Health Services Organization (OKYpY) and the unions regarding the hourly staff will be fully respected, the Press Representative of the Organization Haralambos Charilaou told KYPE.
For this purpose, he noted, several actions were taken. "A working group has been set up which, in collaboration with the unions, has determined the required number of hourly staff to be hired on a permanent basis, and visits have been made to various hospitals to determine these needs," he added.
Regarding the Paphos General Hospital, when asked to comment on the position of the trade unions for not meeting needs in it, Mr. Harilaou said that a meeting was held on August 7 and "the needs were determined and the minutes are expected to come to the Central Administration to be signed, while at the same time a list of names had been requested from the Ministry of Labor where it was sent and the interviews also took place".
"So we are in the final stage so that these people can be hired", concluded Mr. Harilaou.
