Willing to continue discussions with unions until a mutually acceptable solution is found for the benefit of the public, Larnaca Public Transport says, ahead of tomorrow's 24-hour bus drivers' strike.
In a statement, Larnaca Public Transport apologizes "to the passengers and citizens of Larnaca for any inconvenience they may suffer due to the bus drivers' strike that will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9".
It added that "passengers and our fellow citizens are once again suffering from the union's decision to strike in defiance of the disruption and problems their actions are causing".
In the announcement it is noted that despite the fact that "and the Ministry of Labor has declared an impasse in the negotiation process, Larnaca Public Transport is still willing to continue discussions with the unions until a mutually acceptable solution is found for the benefit of the general public." We believe that this is not the way to resolve the issues raised, but through constructive and collective discussion together, as has happened in the past," it states.
