It is added that with "the highest degree of risk, but also an empathy of responsibility, the Police every day, Pan-Cypriot in all departments, keep the safety of the Republic of Cyprus, even though they are still uninsured in the years 2024".

In relation to the Contracted Special Police Officers, the Syntechnia reminds that for a year now it has been emphasizing the only solution for them to remain in the Police, just like the status of SYOP in the National Guard.

"It is necessary to make six amendments to laws and regulations, which the Equality Union sent from 4/11/24 to the Minister of Justice, the Chief of Police and the Legal Committee of the Parliament. EQUALITY finds and proposes practical solutions to help the work of the Chief of Police and the Minister of Justice", it is concluded.
