The Police informs the public that counterfeit euro banknotes of €5, €10, €20 and €50 have been observed circulating. These banknotes are easily identified, since they bear repeating serial numbers on their reverse side. Specifically, the serial numbers that are often found by value are the following:

€20: MB66688880, UC1366259581, SD2034368912, and PMI25782181
€50: MB6666888880, FG9252070821, SE1206972964, and WR6493991575
Ahead of the festive season, the public is being urged to scrutinize the euro notes they receive during their cash transactions.
