The two cases in kindergartens are being investigated, Police Spokesperson Kyriaki Lambrianidou told CNA.
Asked about the two complaints the Police have before them regarding incidents in kindergartens involving children aged 13 months and 19 months, Ms. Lambrianidou said that both cases are being investigated.
"One from the Germasogeia Police Station and the other from the Omorfitas Police Station in Nicosia," he added.
Regarding the complaint regarding the 13-month-old infant in Limassol, Ms. Lambrianidou said that the investigation is continuing, adding that an administrative investigation has also been ordered regarding the actions of the Police when the report regarding the specific infant, the 13-month-old, was received.
Regarding the new case, the 19-month-old infant in Nicosia, Ms. Lambrianidou said that late last night the child's father went to the Omorfitas Police Station and reported the specific incident.
"We are already investigating the complaint in collaboration with the Welfare Office and a number of statements have been taken," he concluded.
