Three people continue to be hospitalized with symptoms of heatstroke. As stated by the press representative of OKYPY Charalambos Harilaou, the two are in the intensive care unit.

This is a 34-year-old man who was extubated and his condition has improved with hopes that he will be released from the ward in the next few days. The second person in intensive care is a 66-year-old woman who is supported by machines. Third person, she is 78 years old who is being treated in a common ward.

Mr. Harilaou reports that recently there has been an increased flow of people with heat stress to the Accident and Emergency Departments. Increased flow is also observed due to seasonal viruses, infections and injuries.

The press representative of OKYPY complains, however, that many of the patients come to the TAEP late at night, causing overcrowding problems, while they could have sought treatment much earlier when the injury or symptoms arose.
