The Police are investigating a case of online fraud, which resulted in the theft of a sum of money of 16.000 euros.
According to the complaint, the complainant received a message on his mobile phone with the sender appearing to be GESY.
Suspicious messages (SMS) falsely impersonating the Greek National Health Insurance Fund (GESY)
In the message, which was in English, he was asked to update his profile, otherwise his account would be deactivated.
The complainant followed the instructions given to him, proceeding with account verification and entering bank card details.
He later discovered that the amount of 16.000 euros had been stolen from his bank account.
