The Police are proceeding with the investigation of a new complaint concerning the case of the Monastery of Saint Avvakoum, which was made yesterday by the abbot of the Monastery, Archimandrite Nektarios, who was on holiday, against Metropolitan Tamasos Isaias.
As Sergeant Eleni Konstantinou, Officer of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, reported to KYPE, in the complaint of Archimandrite Nektarios, it is mentioned that an amount of €450.000 was stolen from Metropolitan Isaias, as well as monks' salaries.
The Communication Branch Officer stated that the investigation of the complaint is already proceeding and a special team of investigators has been set up for this case. When asked if new witnesses will be called in the context of the investigation, Mrs. Constantinou said that witnesses will be called from both sides, whenever necessary.
