Christos Angelidis assumes the duties of the new Director General of the Pancypriot Association of Hoteliers (PASYXE) from January 1, 2025, after the resignation of Filokypros Rousounidis. As the Association of Hoteliers announced, the Board of Directors of PASYXE, at its last meeting, approved the hiring of Mr. Angelides.
"PASYXE is entering a new era of leadership, with the assumption of the position of General Manager by Christos Angelidis. Filokypros Rousounidis completes a successful term of almost five years, leaving a strong legacy", reports the Association.
In the announcement it is noted that Mr. Angelidis has rich experience in the hotel industry. For more than 30 years he served the H & C group as an Executive Member of the Board of Directors and Director of Sales and Marketing, implementing strategic growth plans and managing multi-year budgets. At the same time, he is President of the Association of Hotel Managers, Vice-President of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an active member of committees of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. He holds a PhD and Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, as well as degrees in Sport Management and Physical Education.
"The trust you have shown me is a great honor for me. I am committed to work with dedication and strategic vision, in collaboration with the Board of Directors, to strengthen PASYXE's position as a key pillar of the tourism industry," said Mr. Angelidis.
The Board of Directors warmly thanked the outgoing Director General, Filokypro Rousounidis, for his outstanding contribution over the past five years, highlighting the significant progress made by the Association during his presence.
"It was my honor to serve the Association these years. I wish PASYXE and the new General Manager every success in the future," said Mr. Rousounidis.
He congratulated his successor, Mr. Angelidis, assuring him of his constant support, while he expressed his gratitude to the members of PASYXE.
