It will continue to advocate for the sustainability of Public Hospitals, but also to highlight their role, the Board of Directors of PASYKI states in a statement.
He notes that during yesterday's meeting of the Parliamentary Health Committee, a special discussion took place, in the presence of the Minister of Health himself and the Director General of the Ministry, on an issue concerning the current operation of TAEPs in hospitals affiliated with the General Health System, as well as ways to improve the services provided.
"The administrator of the largest TAEP network that covers needs on a Pancyprian basis, with the greatest expertise in providing services, namely OKYpY, did not attend. In addition to the disrespect he showed by not responding to the invitation, he probably believes that there is no need to defend the TAEPs of Public Hospitals, nor to highlight their crucial role, both in the present and in any future plans," he adds.
He also states that for PASYKI "there are two possible answers: either OKYpY cannot advance and claim for Public Hospitals, or it does not want to, thus certainly not serving the interests of the latter."
Addressing the OKYpY, the PASYKI Board of Directors states that "you have been exposed once again, as with regard to the salaries of public doctors, on an issue that you position as you wish, creating impressions, with the sole aim of damaging the image of doctors, since their documented positions and claims are not convenient."
"Unlike you, we want and will continue to advocate for the sustainability of Public Hospitals, but also to highlight their role," he concludes.
