October moved at satisfactory levels for the tourism industry, according to the President of the Pancypriot Association of Hoteliers (PASYXE) Thanos Michaelidis.
In his statements to the KYPE, Mr. Michaelidis stated that the occupancy rates for October were at 80% and slightly better than October 2023.
Regarding November, Mr. Michaelidis noted that there is interest and it is expected that occupancy will move to satisfactory levels. Our goal, he continued, is for November to join the summer season.
He noted that until October all the hotel units are in operation, while from November several units will suspend their operation.
Asked whether the war situation in the Middle East has affected the situation in the tourism industry, Mr. Michaelidis said that traffic is complemented by other markets such as the English, German, and Polish markets.
