The Electricity Authority of Cyprus is proceeding with the implementation of a small pilot project, which envisages the installation of a number of smart meters in all cities for the purposes of testing operation, checking communication and resolving any problems, from January 20 to 25.
As it states in its announcement, the smart meters will be installed in the Trypioti area in Nicosia, in part of Germasogeia and Agios Athanasios in Limassol, in the Finikoudes area in Larnaca and in Kato Paphos in Paphos.
The EAC further explains that the smart meters being installed this week are part of the preparations for the start of the first phase of smart meter installation.
