The Pancyprian Medical Association (PIS) expresses respect, recognition and gratitude on behalf of the medical community to the nurses of Cyprus, on the occasion of International Nurses Day, noting that they are the cornerstone of healthcare for patients.
"Nurses are not just companions of the doctor in the therapeutic work. They are often the first and last person the patient meets," says the PIS. "The collaboration between doctors and nurses, based on scientific mutual respect and professional solidarity, is the foundation for quality and human-centered health services," he adds.
"As an institutional body of the medical community, the Pancyprian Medical Association stands by the nurses of Cyprus, underlining the need for continuous professional training, occupational safety, recognition of their scientific contribution and strengthening their role in the modern healthcare environment," he concludes.
