An 18-month prison sentence, without suspension, was imposed today by the Nicosia Military Court on the Commando Squadron Sergeant Major, Marinos Ioannou, who was found guilty of the death of 27-year-old commando Panagiotis Gianniou, during a military exercise, in June 2022.
It is recalled that Gianniou lost his life after falling into the sea during a military exercise.
