The Department of Road Transport (DRT) informed the consumer public that new notifications of dangerous products were posted to the European early warning system for non-edible products Safety Gate during the 38th week of 2025. The list includes passenger cars, motorcycles, trucks and other vehicles from well-known manufacturers, such as VW, Honda, Renault Trucks, Ferrari, DS Automobiles, Citroen, Peugeot, Opel, Toyota, Lexus, Aston Martin, BMW, Kubota and Nissan.
According to the announcement, the dangerous products are found in different batches and manufacturing periods, from 2019 to 2025, while some even cover agricultural or professional tractors. Consumers can refer to more details through the Safety Gate website, using the relevant warning number. A relevant table is attached.
The Department called on manufacturers, dealers, importers and sellers who may have placed the specific vehicles on the Cypriot market to inform the department and proceed with the necessary recall procedures, as provided for by law. At the same time, consumers who own the affected vehicles are invited to contact the manufacturer, dealer or distributor for instructions.
