Asphalt paving works will be carried out on the A1 motorway, according to the Nicosia District Engineer's Office, Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works.

Specifically, on Monday, 17/03/2025, from 20:00 until 05:30 the following day, road surface removal and resurfacing works will be carried out on the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from the Alambras exit, towards Limassol. During the works, both lanes of the motorway towards Limassol will be closed, for a length of approximately 3km, and traffic will be diverted to the opposite traffic flow, which will operate in two-way traffic.

On Tuesday, 18/03/2025, and Wednesday, 19/03/2025, from 20:00 until 05:30 the following day, road removal and resurfacing works will be carried out on the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway, at the Lympia exit, heading towards Larnaca.

The Lympia exit will be closed on Wednesday, 19/03/2025, and for this purpose, drivers heading towards Lympia are requested to use the Athienou exit for their travel. During the works, for both days, both lanes of the motorway towards Larnaca will be closed, for a length of approximately 3km, and traffic will be diverted to the opposite traffic flow, which will operate in two-way traffic.

According to the Nicosia District Engineer's Office, in any case, during the execution of the works, there will be appropriate temporary signage for the smooth flow of traffic.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the temporary inconvenience, due to the works that will help improve the infrastructure, and calls on the public to demonstrate the necessary understanding and compliance with the temporary road markings, the provisions of the Highway Code and the instructions of the Police.
