A fire broke out on Monday in grass and wild vegetation between the communities of Pyrga and Klavdia in the Larnaca district, and five Fire Service vehicles as well as aerial vehicles are participating in extinguishing it.
In a post by the Fire Service Spokesperson, Andreas Kettis, the fire broke out on Platform X near the Kalo Chorio Shooting Range in Larnaca, in Panagia Stazousa.
Mr. Kettis adds that "the Fire Service is supporting the extinguishing efforts with five fire engines, four from Larnaca Fire Stations and one from EMAK. Aerial means are also supporting the firefighting efforts."
As the Fire Department's press spokesman states, "the fire is under the operational responsibility of the Forestry Department."
