The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) continues the mass installation of smart meters in all regions, announcing new areas where it will install smart meters for the period from Tuesday 27/05/2025 until mid-June.
In its announcement, the EAC reminds that the safe replacement of the meter requires an interruption of the supply for a period of time that is not expected to exceed 20 minutes.
The EAC states that the installation areas of smart meters are the following:
Nicosia: Strovolos – Area between Athalassa Avenue, Acropolis Avenue, Ifigenia and Armenia Streets and Limassol Avenue, between Ifigenia, Armenia, Arsinoe Streets and Acropolis Avenue, between Nikis Kyriakou Matsi Avenues and Archbishop Makarios III Hospital
Also, the EAC states that from 02/06/2025 with single-phase meters in the following areas: Lakatamia – Jumbo department store area, area between Spyros Kyprianou Avenue to the Lakatamia Community Swimming Pool, on both sides of the Pedieos River between Spyros Kyprianou Avenue and Agios Georgios Street, Strovolos – Area between Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, Strovolos Avenue and Machairas and Kantaras Streets, Limassol – Agios Athanasios Industrial Area, Agios Athanasios – Southeast of the Industrial Area between the motorway and Vasileos Georgios A' Street (Coastal Road), Larnaca – Area from the Castle to Mackenzie Beach, between Piale Passia Street, Faneromenis Avenue and Artemidos Avenue
In addition, the EAC states that from 02/06/2025 it will install smart meters in the following areas: Famagusta: Paralimni – On either side of 1st April Avenue from the height of Kokkinos Supermarket to the roundabout towards Deryneia, Protaras – Protaras Avenue, Kavo Gkreko Beach, from the height of the end of Protaras Avenue to the Narcissos Hotel, Paphos – Northwest of Stelios Kyriakides Stadium, between Athens Avenue, Georgios Grivas Digeni Avenue, 1st April, Kinyra, Ampelokipoi, Alexandros Papagou and Dimokratias Avenues
Finally, the EAC apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
