The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for storms and hail.
The warning came into effect from 13pm and will remain in effect until 00am.

In the afternoon the weather will be mostly cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms. In a storm it is possible that hail will fall. Snowfall is expected in the higher mountains and frost will prevail locally. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, weak and locally to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough.
Tonight the weather will remain mostly cloudy with localized showers and isolated thunderstorms. In the higher mountains, snowfall is expected. Winds will be northwest to northeast, light, 3 Beaufort and later moderate and locally to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and later locally, in the west and north, up to rough. The temperature will drop to 6 degrees inland, around 8 on the coast and minus 1 degree in the higher mountains. Frost will prevail in the mountains and locally in the semi-mountains.
Tomorrow, the weather will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers or even a thunderstorm, but later in the afternoon it will gradually become mostly clear. Winds will be mainly northeast, moderate, 4 Beaufort and locally strong, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough and locally, in the west and north, up to rough. The temperature will rise to 15 degrees in the interior and on the coasts and to 4 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost will prevail.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the weather will be mostly clear, however, in the afternoon there will be transient local highs.
The temperature until Thursday will gradually rise to be close to the average climatic values, while no significant change is expected on Friday.
The height of the snow on the highest peaks of Troodos, at the time of issuing the bulletin, was 15 cm.
