The electronic platform for trading agricultural products is in operation

All information

agrotes Farmers, online platform

The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that the new electronic platform has been launched AGROCYPRUS.CY, which aims to facilitate the marketing of agricultural products in Cyprus.

Through the platform, producers can find useful information and statistics that will help them plan their next production, monitoring the movement (offer) of their products. The platform also provides the option of selecting a calendar period, displaying the total quantities of products traded by Producer Groups/Organizations registered on the platform.

The objectives of the creation of this platform are:

The reduction of the price gap between producer and consumer, since producers will be able to adjust their production based on demand.
Improving product handling and direct access to agricultural supply chain information.
Strengthening the culture of cooperation between producers, promoting transparency and participation in the market.
This platform is the second of a series of measures we are taking to reduce the price gap between the producer and the consumer. The first measure was e-kofini, which was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment in early May 2024, and which aims to strengthen the supply chain of agricultural products and promote transparency and equality in the sharing of information between producers and consumers.
