The platform for electronic submission of conscript selection data for the 24 ESSO will be operational from April 12, at 00:2025, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Defense, noting that the platform will remain operational until 24:00 on May 11, 2025, and declarations will be submitted through the Government Portal https://www.gov.cy.
As explained, access to the Government Portal only requires the creation of a profile, as a citizen (natural person) and not identification. Those conscripts who created a profile for the submission of the "Conscript Information Declaration" (16 years old), will need to enter the same login details on the Government Portal.
It is reported that the classification of conscripts will take place from July 7 to 11, 2025.
It is noted that the conscripts of the 2025 National Guard are invited to submit the declaration of data as well as the relevant supporting documents required, in order to register their desire, for the implementation of the selection and allocation process, in the Branches, Arms and Corps of the National Guard, their placement in Units, as well as the selection of Reserve Officer Candidates (ROC) and National Guardsmen who will be selected to serve in the Special Forces (Commandos, Military Police, Special Forces), in the Clubs - KAAY - STE, in the Technical Specialties and in the Military Music of the National Guard (SMEF).
For the timely and better preparation of those eligible for conscription and for their own convenience and benefit, they are asked to ensure that they obtain the following supporting documents in advance in electronic form, so that they are ready for their registration at the start of the process.
It is stated that each attached supporting document should have a maximum size of 500KB/0,5MB and in no case should the total of the attached supporting documents exceed 10MB in size.
It is noted that the mandatory supporting document is the identity card, front and back in two different files, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format.
It is stated that optional supporting documents are any certificates in case they belong to one or more points award categories, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format. These certificates will be checked if they meet the criteria, in order to be credited with points.
Also, the optional supporting documents include a bank account certificate (IBAN), in pdf format. The account must be in the name of the conscript. A bank account for a minor is created by banking institutions if the conscript presents the invitation note for enlistment. In the event that the bank account details are not submitted to the electronic platform, they must be submitted on the day of their presentation for health examination and provision of materials and items of clothing and footwear that takes place before enlistment.
It is also optional to attach the regular driver's license, front and back, in one file, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format.
It is noted that in the event that a desire is expressed to apply for a position in Technical Specialties, Clubs - KAAY - STE, a corresponding certificate of qualifications from the corresponding secondary school must be submitted, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format.
A certificate of vaccination status and blood type must also be submitted, in pdf, jpg, jpeg or tiff format (not a health booklet). In case it is not submitted on the electronic platform, it must be given to the doctor on the day of their presentation for a health examination and provision of materials and items of clothing - footwear, which takes place before classification.
It is emphasized that those conscripts who do not submit the declaration of data within the specified deadline will not have the right to claim a position for Candidate Reserve Officers, Special Forces, Clubs - KAAY - STE or Technical Specialties and will be placed in Units based exclusively on the operational needs of the National Guard.
It is added that those who submit the declaration of data, through the electronic platform, will receive as proof, a copy of the Declaration in their email, in which the random lottery number will be printed based on a special algorithm by the computerized system. In addition, the Classification Invitation Note will be sent to their email, which will also include information regarding the health examination and provision of materials and items of clothing - footwear that takes place before classification.
The attention of conscripts is drawn to the fact that the data submitted through the platform and concerning the points categories, selection wishes and the guard of preference of the conscripts can be modified upon the conscript's request, which is submitted by him to the Selection and Transfers Directorate of the General Staff, via e-mail geefdemeo@army.gov.cy, no later than 2 days from the end of the platform's operation. In any case, the change can be made only once for each conscript.
