Today, September 30, at 4pm, at the Presidential Palace (Office of the President of the Republic) the confirmation ceremony of the new Chief and the new Deputy Chief of Police, Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis and Panikos Stavros, respectively.
It is recalled that the suspension of the Chief and the Deputy Chief of the Cyprus Police Force, as well as instructions to the Minister of Justice and Public Order to take the necessary actions to terminate the appointment of the Deputy Director of the Central Prisons, was announced last night by the PtD upon his arrival in Cyprus from New York.
Additionally, President Christodoulidis decided to appoint Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis to the position of Chief of Police and Mr. Panikos Stavros to the position of Deputy Chief of Police. At the same time, in consultation with the competent Minister, the Minister of Justice and Public Order will proceed with a recommendation to the Public Service Committee for the appointment of Mr. Konstantinos Konstantinidis to the position of Deputy Director of Central Prisons.
