The three-day period of Clean Monday was a "boost" for leisure centers, especially before the start of the tourist season, according to the President of the Federation of Leisure Center Owners' Associations, Neophytos Thrasyvoulou.
Mr. Thrasyvoulou, in statements to CNA, said that traffic during the three-day period was satisfactory for the recreation centers.
He also mentioned that he expects the services of the dining centers to be upgraded and expressed the hope that a training program for waiters will be approved soon, so that with the new tourist season, the recreation centers will not face a problem in terms of workforce.
When asked, he said that after March 15, more recreation centers will reopen. He noted that currently approximately 30% of recreation centers in coastal areas are operating, while in Nicosia 80%.
