The recall does not concern all vehicles that have "Takata" airbags, but only specific series, the director of the Road Transport Department, Giorgos Loukas, told the Morning Route.
He pointed out that the Ministry and the Department are considering various proposals in relation to the control of imported vehicles and are taking all the necessary actions to inform consumers, through distributors and those legally responsible.
Asked about this, he said that the only way for a citizen to know if their vehicle has a recalled airbag is through the dealers.
Mr. Loukas also said that the way in which the dealers who charge for the inspection will be dealt with is being examined. He noted, in fact, that citizens must claim their rights through the consumer protection service.
