A Palestinian flag was seen flying over the Alpha Mega stadium, with the help of two balloons, during the football match between Pafos and the Israeli Maccabi Tel Aviv, on Tuesday evening. Three people were taken for questioning in connection with the incident and charged in writing.
According to a police report, immediately after the incident, police officers spotted three suspicious individuals in the area of the stadium, who were called to the Polemidia police station.
The three suspects were charged in writing with a case related to the Law on Violence in Stadiums (posting a banner of political content).
The incident was recorded with a mobile phone camera and published on Social Media.
