The Municipality of Larnaca expresses "deep regret and indignation" over the incidents of vandalism that occurred in the city's Christmas decorations.
In a statement, the Municipality of Larnaca states that "unknown persons proceeded to steal the figure of St. Basil, which had been placed as part of the festive decorations, while damages were also recorded in various parts of the Christmas decorations. We express deep regret and indignation for this specific action" it is noted.
The Municipality "invites all citizens to respect the public space and to contribute to the protection of the Christmas decorations, so that we can all enjoy the festive atmosphere".
At the same time "the Municipality of Larnaca appeals to anyone who knows information about these incidents to contact the Police, so that those responsible can be identified and justice can be served".
