Following requests from citizens and organized bodies, the period for reporting and repairing damage caused to solar water heaters, due to the low temperatures recorded recently, is extended until Wednesday, May 14, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
It reminds that affected owners must complete the relevant form and deliver it to the relevant District Administration.
In the form, the owner, among other things, fills in his/her details (name, ID number, address, telephone number) and attaches photographs of the water heater, showing the damage he/she suffered and the repair of the damage, a description of the work by the plumber, as well as the invoices that have been paid for the repair, the completed FIMAS authorization form, a copy of the IBAN, a declaration by the owner that the information included in the application is true, and a declaration by the owner that he/she does not have insurance that covers the specific damage the water heater has suffered.
