A 17-year-old Danish woman who wanted to fight for the Islamic State was sentenced today to 8 years in prison by the Danish Supreme Court for plotting to bomb two schools, one of them Jewish.
The Supreme Court ruled on Friday that the girl, who was 15 years old at the time, was guilty of the charges, upholding the verdict handed down at first instance.
In the first instance, the court had sentenced the accused to six years in prison.
The prosecutor had requested that he be sentenced to indefinite pre-trial detention.
The teenager was arrested at her home last January and had been accused by authorities of plotting to carry out attacks after obtaining chemicals to make bombs.
