A 24-year-old puts a sign on the subway looking for a job and is hired

People move on, things around us evolve and consequently become easier (or so we believe at least), but here our friend found a job in a more traditional way and not with the classic application and CV. So should we bet there too? Is the answer to unemployment is to stand in the subway to fish for a place?

Surely Haider Malik gave us ideas. And if we ever said for fun in our despair that we would take to the streets to "beg" for a job, now we take it more seriously.

He got the courage he needed, set up at a busy London Underground station and did a self promotion so good that it secured him a job in just three days! The first phone call came three hours after he was at the scene. * his 3rd lucky number from now on. *

Haider holds a degree in Finance and Banking Administration from Middlesex University, but the pandemic did not allow him to take advantage of it. In particular, he was in search of the authorities of this situation and had begun to despair so much that he decided to take more drastic measures.

So the 24-year-old decided to try one different tactics holding his CV in his hands and letting passers-by admire it, and in case they are impressed, give it a chance.

So, on Tuesday 2/11, he found himself at Canary Wharf station with his CV and next to it a board that read "Come on: my CV, some advice, just a chat".

As he told MyLondon, at 9:30 he received the first phone call from the Canary Wharf Group, which asked him to come in an hour for an interview for the position of cash analyst. He immediately packed his things and ran to the spot, stating that while he was on the 30th floor of the building, he thought about how unbelievable it seemed to him to be there for a job interview.

After returning from it, he checked his cell phone and saw that it had gone viral on social media, while on Friday, November 5, he accepted a second proposal, which finally closed!

Ethical lesson: Opportunities are there if you step out of your comfort zone!
