A man drove his car into the entrance of the offices of the German Social Democratic Party (SPD) in Berlin. The incident happened late last night, while he was slightly injured. Police consider this incident as a suicide attempt.
The car collided with the first glass doors of the building (Willy Brandt House), which houses the SPD offices, while it was loaded with oil cans and LPG. The fire extinguishing system of the building was activated by extinguishing the flames caused by the collision of the car at the entrance.
Authorities did not release the details of the man, only announcing that he was a 58-year-old man.
It is not clear why the man chose the offices of the SPD, which is on a political trajectory to start negotiations to form a coalition government with Angela Merkel's conservatives.
