Explosion destroys high-voltage line pylon supplying Afghan capital
Kabul sank into darkness on Thursday night after an explosion destroyed a high-voltage line pylon powering the Afghan capital, the national electricity company said.
The official announcement
"An explosion destroyed an electricity pylon in the Kuala Murad Beg area of Kabul and cut off a 220 kV power transmission line, cutting off power to Kabul and some areas," the company said in a statement.
